Máscara de pestañas Maybelline Colossal Volum Express

Hoy quiero escribir sobre mi máscara de pestañas favorita. Se trata de la máscara de Maybelline Colossal Volum Express Waterproof. 

Solo puedo decir que me encanta esta máscara de pestañas. Siempre me gusta probar máscaras diferentes, pero siempre acabo volviendo a la Colossal Waterproof de Maybelline. Prefiero la versión resistente al agua que no la versión normal.

Lo que más me gusta de esta máscara de pestañas es que dura todo el día y no se escarcha dejando residuos debajo del ojo. 

Cuando llueve se queda fija en las pestañas. No tengo que preocuparme que deje rastro debajo de mis ojos (me ha pasado con otras máscaras de pestañas que he utilizado otras veces. Algunas compradas en el súper, otras más buenas y de marcas más caras...)

Me gusta el cepillo que tiene. Recoje cada pestaña individualmente y la cubre con producto perfectamente. Añade volumen a la base de las pestañas y las alarga considerablemente sin dejar grumos y sin apelmazarlas. Deja mis pestañas largas y bonitas. La fórmula les añade colágeno y se seca más rápido que otras máscaras. 

La única queja que tengo es que es difícil de quitar. Es necesario utilizar un desmaquillante de ojos bifase o con base oleosa para quitarlo, sinó, no se va. Almenos en mi caso.

Respecto al precio, cuesta menos de 10€. 

Maybelline Colossal Volum Express Waterproof mascara

Today I want to write about my favourite mascara. It's the Maybelline Colossal Volum Express Waterproof mascara.

I can only say that I love this mascara. I always like to try new ones, but I'm always going back to the Colossal Waterproof. 

What I like about this mascara is that it lasts all day long and does not flake. When it rains, it stays right there on your lashes and won’t melt away (happend to me before with another waterproof mascaras, high-end and drugstore ones).

I love the brush. It gets every single lash, it separetes them and leaves no clumbs. This brush will also add volume and length to your lashes, and they look so nice and full when I use it. The formula adds colagen to your lashes and dries faster than other mascaras.

The only complain I have is that it’s hard to remove if you don’t use an oil-based eye make up remover (at least for me). The regular ones do not work with this mascara.

As for the price, is less than 10€. 

The Body Shop Cool BB Cream

It had been a while since I last went to The Body Shop. I went to see what was new in there. I was curious. The first thing that caught my attention was the Vitamin E range of products. I read different reviews and opinions for that products, and I wanted to see and test them before buying them. I knew I could buy them online, but... I was not sure about that. I had to know what I wanted first and what to expect. 

I was interested in the new bb cream "Vitamin E Cool BB Cream" but I was not sure if I wanted to buy it or not. It costed 17 euros, but I already had the Garnier BB cream at home and I wanted to finish it up before buying something new.
The sales assistant gave me 3 little samples so that I could try it at home and make sure I like the product. So I went home and the next few days I tried it.

Each sample contains 1.5ml. of product. This BB cream is enriched with wheatgerm oil. Has light coverage and covers imperfections, evens out the skintone and it's lightweight. There is only one shade available, but it addapts to your skin because it's very blendable.

At first sight it's thick. But when you touch it, you feel its lightness. Don't expect it to be as liquidy as other BB creams like the Garnier one. A small amount is enough to cover all your face.  I used 1 sample for 3 different applications.

The product blends nicely on the top of my hand, but it was not what happened on my face... On my hand, though, you can see there is no trace of product, and the skin texture is much more even.

When I applied this BB cream on my face it didn't blend and it did clump when I rubbed it into my skin to buff it in. It had never happened to me before with any other product (bb cream, cc cream or moisturizer). The product was visible in each and every pore or fine line under my eyes! It felt disgusting!!

My skin is oily, I have pores and I need to set all the BB creams and concealers I apply with setting poweder. This was no exeption. And setting this BB cream made it even more obvious.

I guess I was lucky to get the samples and could try the product on a few days. That allowed me to see that was not the product for me, and I saved 17 euros.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream (crema)

El otro día entré en The Body Shop después de no acercarme por allí durante un par de años (simplemente no iba porqué no me apetecía y no pasaba cerca de la tienda) y me llamó la atención la gamma de productos con Vitamina E. Había leído diferentes opiniones sobre estos productos, pero al no haberlos visto in situ no me apetecía mucho comprarlos online sin saber muy bien qué esperar de ellos... 

Estuve mirando la nueva bb cream "Vitamin E Cool BB Cream" y no tenía muy claro si comprarla o no. Vale 17euros y no me apetecía gastarlos porqué ya tenía la BB cream de Garnier y quería terminarla antes de comprar algo nuevo. La dependienta me dió tres sobrecitos de muestra del producto para que pudiera probarlo en casa durante unos días y así tener claro si quería o no comprarlo, cosa que le agradecí. Así que me fuí a casita con mis muestras.

Cada sobrecito contiene 1.5 ml. deproducto. Esta BB cream está enriquecida con germen de trigo. Tiene una cobertura ligera y se supone que cubre las imperfecciones e iguala el tono de piel del rostro. Está disponible en un solo color, pero se adapta a cada tono de piel con facilidad. Se mezcla y difumina bien.

Tiene una textura que a primera vista es espesa, pero ligera. no es tan líquida como la BB cream de Garnier, por ejemplo. Y con poca cantidad es suficiente para cubrir bien el rostro. La verdad es que con un solo sobrecito he tenido suficiente para 3 aplicaciones...  

En la siguiente foto se puede apreciar como después de haber distrivuído el producto por toda la parte superior de mi mano, no se puede ver ni rastro, pero sí que la textura está más unificada. Una lástima que no ocurriera lo mismo con mi cara...

Cuando he aplicado esta BB cream en mi rostro me ha pasado algo que no me había ocurrido nunca con ninguna otra crema hidratante, BB cream o CC cream. El producto no penetraba en mi piel! Se quedaba allí, sin difuminarse. El producto se veía claramente. En cada poro! En cada arruguita que empieza a aparecer alrededor de los ojos y que se hacen más evidentes cuando ríes... en fin.

Tengo la piel grasa y con poros, y la Cool BB Cream queda dipositada en mis poros primero y después, al intentar difuminarla, se traspasa a mis dedos. No es divertido ver que intentas aplicar un producto para reducir imperfecciones y que no tiene ningún efecto!

Primero pensé que debía ser que mi piel estaba reaccionando a algún cambio ambiental, o hormonal o lo que sea... estuve unos días sin utilizar las otras muestras que tenía, y volví a empezar. La reacción siempre es la misma. El producto empieza a difuminarse y a repartirse por mi piel, y luego, allí se queda, sin penetrar, cosa que lo hace muy visible. A demás, luego aplico el corrector y aunque lo difumine muy bien y el corrector sí quede difuminado e invisible, (uso el FIT me Concealer de Maybelline) y termine la aplicación con unos polvos, la BB cream sigue allí, visible y estraña.

Suerte que pude obtener muestras antes de comprar éste producto... y me ahorré unos euritos (17€ para ser exactos).

MAKE UP FOR EVER MAT VELVET + BASE DE MAQUILLAJE

Un dia entré en Sephora buscando una base de maquillaje apta para pieles grasas, y una de las vendedoras me propuso que probara la Mat Velvet+ de Make Up For Ever. Buscamos cual era el color que más se ajustaba a mi tono de piel y me dió una muestra. Al dia siguiente estaba allí de nuevo para comprármela!

Esta base de maquillaje cubre muy bién para mi gusto (aunque necesito corrector en algunas zonas). Mi piel se ve mate y bonita por mucho tiempo y no necesito retocar tan frecuentemente como cuando uso otras bases. Una de las cosas que más me gustan es que puedes aplicar varias capas si quieres que cubra más. Esta base es fácil de aplicar y difuminar si tienes la piel bien hidratada, independientemente de si la aplicas con los dedos, una brocha o una esponja. El único momento en el que tengo problemas para aplicarla es cuando mi piel está deshidratada, en este caso sí cuesta difuminarla.

Siempre aplico primero hidratante y después un buen primer (prebase) para asegurar que obtengo el resultado que deseo y de esta forma me aseguro que dure muchísimo más tiempo. También aplico algún producto en polvo para asegurar que dure más tiempo, pero también es verdad que mucha gente no lo necesita con esta base de maquillaje.

En la web de Make Up For Ever se puede ver que dicen que esta base es resistente al agua, pero como no uso maquillaje cuando voy a la playa o a la piscina, no estoy muy segura de si esto es cierto o  no.

Tengo esta base de maquillaje en dos tonos diferentes. El tono #35 (vainilla) y el #40 (natural beige). Algunas veces los mezclo, y otras no. Estos dos tonos se difuminan fácilmente con mi tono de piel, que como va cambiando según la época del año por eso va bien tener tonos diferentes.

Como se puede ver en las fotos, el tono #35 es más oscuro que el tono #40. Los dos tonos tienen una base amarilla, y personalmente, el tono #40 me sirve todo el año. El tono #35 me sirve  más para los meses de verano, cuando estoy más bronceada, o para contornear el rostro si no quiero usar un bronceador para hacerlo.

Una de las cosas más importantes de esta base de maquillaje es que no es comedogénica y no irrita la piel. Almenos no irrita la mía, ni me salen granitos cuando la uso.

MAKE UP FOR EVER MAT VELVET + FOUNDATION

I was trying to find me a good foundation for oily skin when the SA told me that I should try this one. She gave me a sample so that I could try it on and the next day there I was, buying it!

This foundation has good coverege for me (but I still need some concealer) and my skin looks matte. It's long lasting and when I use it I don’t do touch ups as frequently as I do when I use a different foundation. It's buildable, and easy to buff in your skin if it's moisturized. It doesn't matter if I apply it with my fingers, a foundation brush or a sponge, it will be easy to apply and blend, except if my skin is feeling dehidrated, in that case I find it very hard to apply and blend.

I always apply moisturizer and primer to ensure I get the finish I want and this way, it lasts even longer. I also like to apply some finishing powder after it, though it really has a matte finish and some people don't need powder with this foundation.

Make Up For Ever state that this is a water-resistant foundation, but I don't wear foundation when I go to the pool or the beach, so... I'm not sure what to think about that.

I have this foundation in two different shades. I have #35 (vanilla) and #40 (natural beige). Sometimes I mix them, sometimess I don't. Both colors blend easily with my skin tone. It changes during the year, hence the two different shades. 

As you can see in the picture, #35 is darker than #40. Both have yellow undertone, that's why they fit me, but I find that #40 suits me almost all year round, and #35 is more for the summer months or sometimes, for contouring instead of using bronzer.

One of the most important things about this foundation is that it's non comedogenic and it won't irritate your skin. At least, it does not irritate mine, and I don't break out either when I use it.
